Local Militant Group Starts Grease Fire

PHILADELPHIA, PA - A recent fire at the McDonald’s restaurant on Arch Street in Philadelphia Pennsylvania was ruled to be arson according to local investigators.  The fire broke out around 3 a.m. on Friday the 28th, in the early morning hours before the official rush of Black Friday shopping began.  By the time firefighters arrived from waiting in line at Wal-Mart, the restaurant was little more than a burned out shell.

Jason Bellpepper, the franchise owner of the establishment was near tears as he talked to reporters.  “They even burned the playground,” he sobbed.  “I don’t understand what kind of people would do this.”

Police believe that the firebombing was the work of a local militant organization that sprang to life after McDonalds introduced its “McPhilly Cheese Steak” to the public several months ago.

The group, which calls itself the Hoagie Heroes, has attacked the McDonald’s corporation over its latest creation with a guerrilla anti fast-food campaign.  The burning of the restaurant on Arch Street is the first time the group has resorted to violent methods.

In a videotape sent to the Philadelphia Police Department, the group claimed responsibility for the destruction of the McDonald’s restaurant, and called for a Jihad against the fast-food giant.

Faux-Newz has managed to obtain a copy of the videotape, in which a masked and armed figure proudly wears what has been identified as a “hoagie hat.”  The fast-food terrorist proclaims that, “Today the Hoagie Heroes have struck a great blow to the capitalist swine of the McDonald’s Corporation.  We will not swallow their ploy to administer imitation cheese steaks to the people of this city.  We have birthed the Philly Cheese Steak from our womb, and we will not let it be subverted by the great Satan.”

Police officials warn of possible future attacks against other McDonald’s locations, and urge the public to be on their guard for suspicious behavior.  “Until these men are caught,” said Philadelphia Mayor John Street, “I urge the people of this city to consider eating at Burger King or Wendy’s.”
