As Sales Of Turducken Rise Doctors Fear So Will Heart Attack Rates

After being a hit at many Thanksgiving tables last year, Turducken sales skyrocketed this year, which is raising room for concern in the medical profession.

"Some of us in the field of Medical Science feel that with the rise of Turducken sales, so will the Heart Attack risk across this country on the holidays rise to astronomical numbers." says Dr. Steven Shafer of the Mayo Clinic in Minneapolis Minnesota

He continued, "These days people keep gaining more and more weight, not thinking of the health problems they will experience over short and long term."

The Amazing Turducken

Turducken - A Chicken in a Duck in a Turkey has been targeted by health conscience groups as a potential killer over the past few months.

Nannette Simmons of the T.W.O.A (Turducken Widows Of America) was quoted as saying, "After the recent rise of heart attacks around Thanksgiving and Christmas the past two years, we feel it is the FDA's moral and civic duty to make sure that Turducken has the proper warnings and listings about it being unhealthy for the Thanksgiving consumer. Far too many of us have lost our husbands to this dangerous concoction."

After being asked whether the other foods served at the holidays could be a factor as well, Simmons responded, "No No, the other foods present at a typical holiday feast are not a risk at all. C'mon, when was the last time you heard that Sweet Potatoes, Pumpkin Pie or Egg Nog were fattening or bad for you? We don't feel that our husbands died from eating things like this on a daily basis or the fact that they were 200 pounds overweight. We blame the Turducken!"

"An investigation is planned to begin immediately on this Turducken fiasco," says FDA spokesperson Rodney Celmer. Results from this investigation should be released some time next year.
