U.S. Warns Canada About Solar Energy Program

Washington D.C. - President Bush criticized Canada on their secrecy surrounding their ongoing solar energy program this week.

“The war on terror doesn’t begin overseas,” said the president in a press conference. “It starts at home, and then it continues on to our neighbors.”

The Bush Administration has been investigating ways to curb rogue nations from attaining solar capabilities, and so far, has been only marginally successful. Operation Sunshine, which successfully sheltered the entire nation of Lichtenstein from the sun, took all of two weeks last year. However, Canada has been a bit more unwilling to relinquish its obsession with solar power.

Bush Is Shown Saying To Canada...
"The Sun Is Real Bright & Awful Hot"

“The sun is real bright,” said President Bush, “and it’s awful hot. If we allow rogue nations to harness the awesome power of the sun without checks and balances, we could face a fate far worse than 9/11.”

Though Canadian Prime Minister, Paul Martin insists that the Canadian Solar Energy Program is used only to explore the possibilities of efficient, environmentally safe energy alternatives, Bush remains skeptical.

“If they wanted energy,” the president said, “why didn’t they just get some?”

Bush brought up the subject of Canadian Solar Power and its dangers at a recent press dinner. A reporter from Reuters asked Bush, “You seem worried about the Ottawa solar program, but shouldn’t you be more concerned about the Quebecois?”

The President replied, “Quebecois? No. I haven’t finished my entrée yet.”
