Bush Sort Of Sorry. Rumsfeld Too, Perhaps

WASHINGTON D.C. - President Bush apologized Thursday for the abuse and humiliation of Iraqi prisoners by U.S. soldiers, saying the scenes of mistreatment had made him and fellow Americans ''sick to our tummies.''

A day after he stopped short of apologizing, Bush told Jordan's King Abdullah II: ''We bad... You good... Georgie so sorry, American army men need a time out."

''Me told him me was very sorry, that being the daddy of the U.S.A. I will send our army men to their rooms,'' -

- Bush said, standing in the Rose Garden alongside Abdullah while taking a break from running around shooting each other with super soakers.

"The president's statement seems more like the real George Bush. His comments on Wednesday that the abuse of prisoners was ''abhorrent'' and ''does not represent the America that I know.'' seemed intelligent & coherent. He couldn't have possibly used these words on his own. He must have been chillin' with C-Unit Powell again", said Donald Rumsfeld on what G.W. said Thursday.

Rumsfeld continued, "IF we did need to apologize, which we don't, he could have done it more like an adult and with more authority. We need to show the world that we can torture anyone we want for whatever reason we want."

"I'm not sorry for what went on, I encourage it! I'm starting to think we shouldn't have a child in office. You know what... Bush isn't a child, he's just a pussy." Rumsfeld concluded.
