NEW YORK, NY - NBC Programming President Lee Gaither has announced that after witnessing the sorrow brought to this country in the wake of the final episode of Friends Thursday night, that NBC has signed on Lisa Kudrow, Jennifer Aniston and Courtney Cox to star Golden Girls 2004. A revamped remake of a television classic.

"We believe it's only right that we do this. The American public simply cannot survive or go on with their lives without watching these three ladies on a weekly basis. Plus, we're completely out of ideas." said Gaither.

GG2K4 will take place in Miami Beach, Florida. After the ladies quit their jobs in NYC they leave their men and families behind and live the good life of aging female singles.

Kudrow will play the stern & large Dorothy, Aniston will fit in nicely being the slutty man lover Blanche & Cox couldn't have been a better fit to play the semi-retarded hick Rose.

Even though she is suffering from a bad case of Parkinson’s, Estell Getty will be brought back to play the hilarious elder Sophia.
