Grunge Manor is a social media project based just outside Reading, Pennsylvania, where raw nature meets timeless tunes. It started as a hobby project to remember to check our footage every day and honestly, also to keep from doom scrolling. From there, an old bird nerd was born.
We currently have 16 cameras around the property to catch all the beauty the forest provides... and quite honestly a lot of us falling over the pups, ya never know what we'll sneak amongst the birdies.
With camera names like Feed Me Seedmore, Lord of the Wings, Admiral SnAckbar, Peckertime, Fanghorn Forest, and Pilathouse Park, you can understand right away that we're a bit quirky... but we are passionate stewards of the property and all critters are welcome, fed, and safe here.
In a stressful, high-paced world flooded with endless nonsense, generated content and artificial clips... Grunge Manor offers something delightfully grounded and different: 100% real backyard wildlife set to legendary music. There truly is something for everyone.
What Happens at the Manor?
Every day, the feeding stations and birdbaths (AKA the Hot Tub) in Pilathouse Park become an unscripted stage for local Pennsylvania wildlife: from blue jays, woodpeckers, and cardinals to our deer herd and raccoon and fox families... plus plenty of curious squirrels grabbing a peanut snack. Who knows, you might even spot a toad, an opossum or depending on the season a completely different cast of characters.
It's up-close, unfiltered, raw footage of native birds and local creatures enjoying their daily feast. Of course sometimes clips are sped up or slowed down to fit the vibe.
- A Curated Soundtrack: Each one minute daily video of the bird action (spliced into a cohesive snippet of enterntainment) is paired with hand picked classic rock bangers, alternative anthems, 70s & 80s classics, retro tracks and yes... even rap and metal! Each genre makes every day a new experience.
- The Slow Burn: Sometimes we slow things down or even release extended videos as a treat for anyone who wants to unplug, enjoy nature and reminisce to the hits.
- 100% Real Content: No AI footage. Just authentic nature, great music, and genuine moments captured right on the Manor.
